Unit 7...Peer Reviews

My opinion of peer reviews is they help us to understand what our own age group has to say about our topics and writing style.  This would help us to improve our paper and make it better for everyone to read it.  Our peers are the best critics and sometimes the worst.  In high school, it could be one of those things, where someone doesn't like you, then you could get a bad review that isn't deserved.  On the other hand, someone could like you a lot, and you could get a good review you don't deserve.  Now since we are in college we sure hope that our peers are mature adults.  If this is the case then we should expect honest reviews.  I like it when people give me some helpful advice that I can use to make my paper better.  LikeI said since we are in college we should be able to get some real good reviews.

The Last Six Weeks...

The last six weeks have been busy ones.  I have been juggling two classes.  This is one of them and the other is Anatomy and Physiology I.  I have been holding on to B's the whole term.  My time has to be organized just right so I can get everything done that I need to do.  You see I have 5 boys with so many different interests that I have to keep up with.   Now I have reached the point in both classes where I have to start writing my final papers.  I have enjoyed writing in the blogs because they are so fun.  There is also the holidays coming up to make all this even more difficult to deal with.  Well I know I will persevere through it all.  I like this class because I picked a topic close to me to write my paper on.  My other class I have to write a paper in the topic is chosen for me.  I picked the nervous system and I know it will be hard but I will figure it out.  Have a good week everyone.

Unit 5 School???

School is turning out to be challenging but I am managing somehow.  I am enjoying all the material I am learning.  It is influencing my life by opening my mind to new experiences and knowledge.  The whole online experience has been different yet fun and exciting.  I like the degree I have chosen because it is teaching me so much about my body.  I have also learned more about how to conduct yourself when in the professional world.  Basically I am enjoying going to school.

Internet???

I feel the internet is very close to blurring the lines of legally owned.  If you stop to think about sites like youtube, wikipedia, answers.com, and many more you would realize that they print information on stuff that is important but you have no way of making sure they haven't stole it from someone else.  On youtube anyone can put up there videos and from there its fair game.  How is it that we should not expect someone to copy and paste the link to use for themselves.  So as you can see you actually lose all expectation of not being plagiarized because it is out there for anybody to see and use.  From that point the proof is on the information provider to prove it was stolen from them.  This is why you stick with proven to be legitament websites or you could be accused of plagiarism when you didn't even mean to do it.

Unit 3-Brainstorming!!!

Hey everyone, I would like to know if you have an opinion on either of the following two topics:  Depression and its effects on adults and children are they different? or Eye cancer and metasis is there a cure?  Please let me know what you think.  I am leaning towards depression because it links with my paper due in anatomy and physiology and because I suffer from depression, but the eye canncer touches close to home because my mother-in-law was diagnosed this past January with it and it has spread.  Both topics I think would be interesting.  Whichever one I don't use this time I am sure I will use in another class here at Kaplan.  Please give me some feedback.
